The Ayush Ministry of India is liable for regulating the indigenous and alternative medicinal systems in our country. It recently suggested the consumption of the immunity-boosting kadha recipe as a protective measure to fight against the Nobel coronavirus. But how exactly does it protect us? Kadha is a concoction made using wonderful herbs and spices such as Tulsi leaves, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, giloy, licorice root, black pepper, etc., which are boiled in water until it releases its essence into it. The combined goodness of those herbs acts to strengthen the system and thus protect against many other infections including coronavirus.

While most people won't consider a few pinch of black pepper within the kadha, this actually plays a crucial role when added during a 1:10 ratio with Turmeric, it increases its absorption manifold. Ingredients of Immunity-Boosting Kadha Recipe

Cloves- 3 no
Turmeric- 1 inch small
Cinnamon- 1 inch small
Black Pepper- 10 no
Mulethi- 1/2 tbs
Tulsi- 5 leaves
Jaggery- 2 tbs
Water- 1 ltr
Green Cardamom- 3 no
Black cardamom- 1 no
Tez Patta- 1 big
Ginger- 1 inch small

Method To Prepare The Kadha

Step1: Add water as guided in the ingredient section and let it boil.

Step2: Crush all the mentioned ingredients in a mortar and pestle (do not use a grinder) for better results.

Step3: Add the crushed spices into the boiling water along with the jaggery. Cover the pan with the lid.

Step4: Let it boil for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes switch off the gas stove and leave it for 5 minutes.

Step5: Serve it hot.


This kadha will help to boost the immunity instantly. Even one can feel the changes after consuming this immunity-boosting kadha. The result will be the same as Ayush kadha. There are many kadha recipes like baba Ramdev Kadha, Ayush kadha, homemade kadha, etc., that involve a special combination of herbs. However, it's important to not simply believe kadha but also practice social distancing guidelines and wear a mask to guard against coronavirus.
