Palak Rice

India is a country which is full of different types of crops like spices, herbs, vegetables, fruits, etc. In the current scenario of the world, India has tried its best to use different medicinal properties of spices to cut the effect of the corona Virus.
Palak rice is one of the dishes which boosts immunity as it is made with a combination of spices, spinach, and rice.

Palak Rice
IngredientsRice- 1 cup Spinach- 250 gm Cumin seeds- half tbs Ghee- 2 tbs Chili- 2 (slited) Haldi- half tbs Garam masala- half tbs Coriander powder- 2 tbs Cashew nuts- 50 gm Tomato- 1 big Cinnamon stick- 1 small Cloves- 3 pieces Green Cardamom- 3 Garlic-5 cloves Onion- 1 small Tez Patta- 1 Water- 2 cups Salt- according to taste
Method to preparePreheat the pan, add ghee and let it get heat for a few minutes. Now, add the cumin seeds, tez patta & green chilies.
Now, after they all get saute for two minutes, add the onion to the pan. Let it cook until it gets brown in color.
By the time, take the mixer/ grinder and add all the raw spices mentioned in the ingredients list, tomato, garlic, cashew nuts. Put some water and let it grind in a fine paste.
Meanwhile, just check the onion, as it should get fry properly and it should not get burnt.
Again, take a pan add the chopped spinach and water. Let the spinach becomes mushy by heating it for two to three minutes. Now let it get cool and add it into the grinder to make a fine paste.
Now, add the spices paste to the fried onion pan. Let the spices get cooked properly.
Now add the spinach to the pan, once the spices get cooked properly and left the oil in the pan. Fry the spinach until the irony aroma of spinach gets vanished.
Once it gets cooked properly, add the rice and the water in a ratio of 1:2. Now, let it boil for a few minutes on full flame. Once the boil came, switch the flame to low-medium and let the rice cook. once the rice is cooked, serve it hot with cucumber raita or lemon slice. |
